I was wondering if anyone knows a good method/product to lock the lid on a fish tank. I ask cause I have a 3 year old and I placed my tank at a level so that he can enjoy the view also. Problem obviously is that at times 3 year old likes to open lid and stick his little hand in, or one time even decided that a whole jar of flake food would be yummy for the fishys. I duct tape it shut now but was looking for a more convenient locking system that didnt look so tacky. thanks

Is the tank glass or acylic? What style of lid do you have? You just need a complicated latch, or a keyed mechinisim? (I've known 5 year olds that couldn't figure out safety doorknobs, and 18 month olds that could put tapes in the cassette player, so that last one depends on your child.)
