LOUD skimmer help!!!

This thing is driving me crazy. Its a OTP 3000 pump for the NWB reef octopus protein skimmer. It makes an extremely loud noise like a woodchipper almost. And its in my room, where i sleep, so I had to shut it off a couple of times. It does have rubber feet, so how the heck do I shut it up??? should I put sand in a ziploc bag and put it under the pump??? would that help??? HELP ME!!!!!!!!

If that one has an air intake hose they do make a muffler to go in the end of the hose. I used to use one.

I have the air muffler. It's not the air. It's the pump making like a grinding sound. Should I try the sand under it??

I'm gonna try sand in a bag when I get home. Hopefully it'll fix the problem.

The sand helped. Now there is just a hum.
