Mag 12

Is there anyway to run a mag 12 return pump without the sponge and not have microbubbles in my DT? Also is it bad to run my sump with no filter socks? The only song I have in the tank is the one on the return.

Perhaps there is too much flow going through the return line, adding a value to lessen the flow will help with that

Another thing is that you don't adequate baffle system in your sump to minimize microbubbles.

I have a ball valve connected and it partly closed so the same amount of water going into the sump is also being pumped back out
