Marineland Protein Skimmer?

Hi everyone,

Looks like we've (mostly) settled on a 46g bow front aquarium with a HOB overflow, and an 11g sump system. One protein skimmer that was recommended to me for a system this size is this one:

Is this a good recommendation? I've not seen reef octopus brands carried at any of the local fish stores.

I may be mistaken, but I believe i got the no go on that skimmer series when I asked a month or so ago. I would stick with the reef octopus brand, they come very highly recommended. You can get it at most online retailers.

Good luck!

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.
