Master Test Kit

I bought a master test kit a couple weeks ago. However, after exactly two nitrate tests where the kit worked, it keeps saying that there is no nitrate in the water. I have several fish, and I know the nitrate level is building up. What can I do?

Are you using the wrong card? The liquids are the same for freshwater and saltwater, but the color cards are different. You can't use a freshwater color card for a saltwater tank or vice versa.
