should i keep the filter screens on there...I am having to take thenm off weekly and clean them...cant believe that much stuff is circulating in the water
The sponges tend to collect alot of detritus and debris. I don't use them unless absolutely neccessary- like to protect a nearby soft coral or something. If your just referring to the plastic cover keep them. They'll save some inverts like shrimp, anemones, etc. HTH
I don't use the sponges anymore. I do however keep the plastic screen on the bottom. I do have to clean them a lot, especially now that I've been fighting a nasty algae/cyano outbreak.
just turn off the PS
I only used half what is recommended and one treated my tank once
within 48 hrs its all gone
not sure what affect it does to corals but the guy at the LFS said it is safe with all
