Maxi jet questions

I am thinking about buying some maxi jets for three purposes. I saw a diy filter with a water bottle and filter floss. I want to be able to pump water from my bucket in the floor to the aquarium. And just to add flow to keep debris off the bottom.

I have two tanks, a 55 mbuna. And a 75 discus. Each tank has ample filtration. The discus tank cycles at 800 gph, and the 55 does 400 now, and 900 if I get my aquaclear 110 for Christmas. My cichlids produce a ton of waste and not all of it is picked up.

I also want to buy one for my cousin who is getting a 29g for Christmas. What model for him?
