I just placed an order with liverocks.com. I am getting 40lbs of Keys Rock, of which 2 pounds will be rubble for my canister filter.

Mike was extremely nice and I told him about my green tank issue. He thought the addition of LR might help but also suggested I run Activated Carbon, rinsed first in RO water. I will try to get this tonight. The rock will probably be here Friday I guess.

Back to my Alk. problem. How do I raise that? My Ph has been steady at 8.1 for pretty much as long as I've had it, so it seems pretty stable.

TIA
DJ

I rec'd 40 pounds of LR from liverocks.com yesterday. I had called prior to the order and he said he would include 2 pounds of rubble. However, the rubble is pretty big to go in our canister. Can we put it in a bag and smash it down with a hammer or would that destroy any of it's properties? It's all in the tank right now.
