Mod For Aqua-c Remora

It’s the 18” HOB and I am running the maxijet1200 w/skimmer box. Is there a way to add a venture to the intake? I am just wondering if the PSI nozzle inside might create back pressure in the intake and cause a venture to leak water, instead of suck air. I want to make this skimmer skim more junk and not water. If I raise the cup too high, then the foam hits the lid and stays there, instead of falling over into the cup. Did that make any sense?

Also can I change the pump to a mag drive?

i read somewhere that you could add an airstone to the skimmer to get more bubbles but i cant remember where. i thought about the mag drive on mine but im not sure. it may be too much. i cant remember the different measurements of it and the pro model. ill try to look at it this afternon. post your findings, im interested also. dorian
