my filter won't work

I have a aquion 55/75 filter for my 50 gallon tank and it stopped working and since I still have the warrenty I decided to get a new one and this one won't work either I tried searching up what's wrong with it but I can't find anything its making the same noise as the previous one and it won't suck any water up, I put water in it first even though it said you don't have to but it still won't suck up any water and filter it

Inspect the magnet on the impeller for defects, and make sure its seated in the impeller sump correctly. It might take a couple of minutes for it to pick the siphon up. What type of noise is it making?

It's alright I've fixed it now I basically took apart the motor reassembled it and let it cooled down now its running fine but thanks anyways glad to know someone would help
