Agree with ccapt... while watts/gallon is an OK guideline, I wouldn't bet the farm on it. The difference between 4.2 watts/gal (196W on a 46g) and 5.3 watts/gal (196W on a 37g) is pretty negligible. Too many variables to really say one has more light that the other. I wouldn't think you'd be too successful with 5.3w/gal doing SPS. |
