Need help

I was at the aquarium shop and i saw an aquarium setup and i don't know what it was called. It was several different aquariums joined together and each one had a place where water flowed from the top one down to the next one, then that one flowed into the next lowest one. They were all separate tanks but they had a little cut out for the water to flow through to the next tank. Does anybody know what this is called?????
