Hey I'd like to find out the easiest way(s) for me to stop/reduce the current from my hang-on filter. I tested the cycling water with some Zebra Danios from my other tank, only to see them swimming forcefully to stay in one spot if they tried to stay still. Of course the Danios are back safe in my other tank, but this worries me, as I plan on getting a dwarf gourami and 8 neon tetras. My tank is 18" by 12" by 12", and I used an online calculator to determine that to be 10-11 gallons.
I have a Resun HF-2002 hang-on filter, a link to the product here: PRODUCT --- RESUN (
It says that it has an adjustable flow, but there are no buttons to press or knobs to turn for any sort of adjusting, obviously some sort of old model or defect, but it functions PERFECTLY, cleaning the water from particles that got around in just a few minutes.
I need to find a way to avert the flow or divide it or ANYTHING, so that the water can stay relatively calm. In the pictures below, i'd also like to know if the filter is in the right place. The little colourful pebbles in the container are from an established tank, im using it to seed without affecting my pure black gravel. Please help?
