Never owned a powerhead before
Any recommendations? GPH? Brand?
Would likely order the powerhead off amazon unless you can recommend a site with reasonable pricing. Budget 70$ Max
Will be for 120g Freshwater Turtle tank
Filtration of the tank is an overflow to 40g sump im working on. With Mag 9.5 pump. Picking up the glass baffles tomorrow from the shop.
I figured extra circulation from powerhead will help get the poop towards bottom of tank. I think the powerhead may need to be fairly stong to break up the turtle poop they can get as thick as pinky finger. Back when I had the turtle in 55g I would break up the poop to small bits with the siphon before vacuuming it up.
Aeration feature would be nice as I plan to add a large pleco or oscar to the tank. Then I could skip out on a bubble wand/air stone. I'm not too worried about them being harmed by the turtle. My turtle was previously housed in 55g with African cichlids for about 3 years and never bothered any of the fish.
