need some ro/di help

ok so i just got my new [acronym:0938d0d029="Reverse osmosis"]ro[/acronym:0938d0d029]/[acronym:0938d0d029="Deionization"]di[/acronym:0938d0d029] and i was just going to hook it up to the skin faucet when i need to use it which will a 4 gallong supply tank it has with will probably be only once a week i will need to run it. so can i just unhook it from the faucet while i am not using it or will this screw up the membrane, do i need to have constant pressure hooked up or can i unhook when not in use ???

I just got one as well, and asked the dealer that question. He told me that I should leave water in it, so the filters do not dry out. I have been unhooking mine when I am not using it, also.

ya.. also they say to run about 3-5 gallons through the unit before you use the water...

its good

i have mine fed through a splitter from the washing machine.

the waste goes into the washer to do laundry and the hose gets thrown into the sump...

soon very soon, it will go into attic and down the wall to an auto top off
