Just brought home my 120 reef ready tank and discovered cracks on the bottom corners of black frame molding. Do I need to worry about integrity of my tank now? I've been reading all over on this subject and cant really find a good answer.
Also has hairline cracks on the top trim corners.
I brought this tank home when it was 5-10 degrees outside and the tank had just been drained by previous owner. Probably a 2.5 hour trip.

I would be concerned, if anything happens to your tank. 120 gallons might ruin just about anything it pouts out onto..

Is it new or new to you? The cracks won't hurt a thing, there mostly for beauty, you can get a clear two part apoxy and it will stop further cracking. But if its new, I would return it and get a new just cause thought of it!

New to me. The tank looked great when I bought it from the previous owner, but I had to travel with it for 140 miles to bring it home in the back of my truck. It was 10 degrees outside. Possibly the cold have caused this? I really want to fill up the tank, just want to be safe.

Aqueon (if its an aqueon tank) makes replacement bands as well, but getting the old one off can be a real pain in the neck.

It will be fine, but if it worries you get some apoxy so it won't crack any further and go on with the sys. I have taken them off and used the tanks before!

Thanks everyone. I can live with the looks of it, just concerned about the integrity of the tank.
