New Aquarium Owner - Heater for 125 Gal question

We are purchasing our first aquarium. It is 125 gallon and I am having trouble finding a heater for it. I was leaning towards a visitherm based on the reviews but I can't find where to buy the 400W. (that's what I need based on the size of the tank) Can I do 2 smaller heaters instead?

I would purchase three 250 Watt heaters. You actually need 625 Watts (5 Watts per gal). With more heaters the tank will be heated more evenly. I recommend the Visi-Therm Stealth since they are easily hidden.

HTH.

If your using two cannisters I would recommend two Hydor ETH 300 heaters.

multiple heaters is the way to go... 200 or 250's will be fine.. I run 2 heaters on my 125..
