I am getting back into aquariums after not having one since high school. My wife and I want to get one for my son's room since he loves fish and it is really the only space we have. The problem is we only have about 17" x 11" of space. I have been looking at the JBJ Nano Cube 180 8-gal, Aqueon Mini-Bow 5-gal, one of the small Marineland Eclipse systems, or just build a 5-gal system. I will probably replace the existing filter if needed. I know most of the kits aren't the best on that. Does anyone have any experience with or advice on these systems? I am also open to other suggestions.
