I bet! I wish they had like a best buy of aquarium equipment (how they have everything out on displays, so you can touch, feel and play with them before buying). I would love to see the different modes in person.

That would be nice! ^^

Sometimes when I'm on the fence about something, I make sure to buy it where the return policy would give me ample time to test it out for myself. The only downside is the loss in shipping fees, but at least you can get a refund if you don't like it! Otherwise, there's always trying to convince the LFS to get some in stock... maybe they'll put one on their display tanks

Here's the "SUNRISE" mode on the light. Sometimes I like to put this on hours before I put the lights on full blast. It has a nice rosette color that gives the colors on fish and plants a subtle glow

I love it! That's so neat. Looks like your angel loves it too.

Mine just arrived. It is beautiful. I have the 24 to 36" model.

I want to add some personal thoughts to what Brian has already been said in his great review. The full spectrum mode is a lot brighter than the single full spectrum 24" 6500k T8 I had. My single unit definitely brings me up to low light which is exactly what I want. I love the low profile. As to heat, not that I recommend it, but you could hold your hand on it all day. The remote works great. It is nice that the infrared eye is on a long wire. I was able to position it under the storage compartment of my stand where it is easy to hit with the remote, but is still unobtrusive. I taped it into position rather than use the more permanent sticky stuff that came on it. I'm going to get some Velcro for my long term installation of the infrared eye.

Thanks again for your great review Brian. It really helped me to make the decision. This is a very nice light that fits my needs perfectly AND it is fun.

Glad to hear that you like it, Cory! I'm glad that you contributed your thoughts to this thread as well. It certainly helps other that are on the fence about this light. I hate it when there's a new product out there with very little to no feedback on it.

Please feel free to post some pictures here of your setup

Oh I love that it doesn't get super hot! Out of curiosity, does it light the -whole- tank up well?

You guys are really selling me on it! So far it's been this vs marineland led planted, but I keep reading bad things about the marineland.

Here you go, Brian. My usual disclaimer: This is just a phone pic. The light is much brighter in real life than in this snapshot. What you can really see in spite of my not using a real camera is that the low profile of this unit is incredible.

I don't have any fish yet either, so don't look for them. I just finished cycling on Tuesday and haven't gotten to the LFS yet, lol.
