HELP PLEASE! I just purchased a Fluval 405 and was disappointed to realize that I could not place the filter next to the tank, that it needed to be below the tank. I have the tank on a granite slab and do not wish to drill holes in it for the hoses. How long a hose can I attach to the filter? I may be able to run the hoses down the slab and to the floor (which won't be very attractive. I am also concerned that it appears as though the canister is now nearly impossible to open once it has been sealed? Will this be an ongoing problem every time I clean it?
SHOULD I RETURN THIS FILTER AND GET SOMETHING ELSE? RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE!!!
