New filter-have i made a mistake?

Hi everyone,

I may have been a tad ahead of myself with this one.

Am on a tight budget, which I know is no excuse and I probably should have just saved up and paid for the top of the range stuff, but have just purchased a filter off eBay for $60 AUS.

Aqua Aquarium external canister filter from the online store Ozplaza.

I have just inherited a 4ft 75g tank and purchased a 1200LPH 30W filter....

Anyone have this brand? Anyone see obvious failure in the future with this setup?

I am completely new to filters as all tanks I have had in the past have had built in filters in the lids.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that brand. Hopefully someone from your part of the world will see this and help you out.

Hang in there, someone who's had some experience with this is bound to chime in. 1200 LPH filter should be sufficient to filter a 75gal, it looks comparable ... judging by the pics online to a Fluval 406. The best advice I could give is just keep up on the maintenance.
