I have a Mr1 Reactor which i run carbon in.. It came with 2 sponge filters that you use with whatever media you want.
The bottom sponge filter is getting clogged with detritus and the media and sponge is rising to the top of the reactor, obviously because of the dirty sponge filter. I have been running it for only 2 weeks and would like to run it a month without having to take apart the reactor and clean the sponge filters. I want to be able to change the media and the sponges at a months time.
Has anyone had this type of problem in any type of reactor? Im looking for some ideas on how to prevent these filters from getting dirty so fast.. Maybe some kind of filter before the intake pump? i don't know, just looking for ideas..
