The most common cause of the center brace going is from someone trying to lift with it, not dropping the tank. That being said, unless the trim was replaced, it doesn't look like the trim had a center brace on it before... is that trim plastic and one piece? Perhaps that is original...
Can't say how old it would be, but a number of years ago, Oceanic was acquired by Aqueon (All Glass) and the original plant was closed. Oceanic tanks had the rep of being the the top tier of manufactured tanks. The age of the tank doesn't really matter, especially if it was well constructed. I have a tank, (badly) built by me in the 60s that is still in use.
So I've started to gather all my supplies needed for my 90g oceanic tank I've decided to build my own stand and figured I'd share some pics
Phase 1: frame
Phase 2: outside panels
Phase 3: Paint and doors
COMING SOON
Here's some inside looks at the frame supports. Idk how well you can see how I did it but Might as well show it
And here's a pic of my new and first canister filter. It's a sunsun/super.
I currently have a heater in my 29g I'm gonna put in my 90g but know I need another to put on the other side. Do you guys recommend any specific heater? And I'm not sure what wattage the heater I already have is but would I need a 200w or 300w to pair with it? The light fixture I'm gonna get is the three bulb t5ho. And possibly down the road I may consider co2. If I can afford it.
I HAVE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! If I don't have to work seven days this week my 90 is definantly going up!! I know it's going to be a all day job and idk how I'm going to transfer everything over but it will happen lol
