It's a 90g tank the glass is 3/8 thick

My guess is that it was a repair but it looks like a good one. 12" wide is pretty big. Sounds like someone like me who wanted to over-do it.

I'm guessing the rest of the glass is 1/2" or 3/8"?

So it looks good, but I would test it just to make sure. Peace of mind, you know?

I know the bottom is tempered glass do if it had been dropped it probably would have shattered huh?

The most common cause of the center brace going is from someone trying to lift with it, not dropping the tank. That being said, unless the trim was replaced, it doesn't look like the trim had a center brace on it before... is that trim plastic and one piece? Perhaps that is original...

Alright I've been trying to find some info online and can't find anything about it. Do you know around about how old it would make this tank

Can't say how old it would be, but a number of years ago, Oceanic was acquired by Aqueon (All Glass) and the original plant was closed. Oceanic tanks had the rep of being the the top tier of manufactured tanks. The age of the tank doesn't really matter, especially if it was well constructed. I have a tank, (badly) built by me in the 60s that is still in use.

So I've started to gather all my supplies needed for my 90g oceanic tank I've decided to build my own stand and figured I'd share some pics
Phase 1: frame

And here's a pic of my new and first canister filter. It's a sunsun/super.

I currently have a heater in my 29g I'm gonna put in my 90g but know I need another to put on the other side. Do you guys recommend any specific heater? And I'm not sure what wattage the heater I already have is but would I need a 200w or 300w to pair with it? The light fixture I'm gonna get is the three bulb t5ho. And possibly down the road I may consider co2. If I can afford it.

I HAVE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! If I don't have to work seven days this week my 90 is definantly going up!! I know it's going to be a all day job and idk how I'm going to transfer everything over but it will happen lol
