My knowledge of tanks is limited to freshwater but I need help setting up a sump and skimmer correctly:
The black skimmer is the one I plan to use, is it in the correct position? I have a pump for it and a few parts that are not in the photo, tubes basically..
Can I set it up as shown, resting on the sump floor, and fill the remaining space with large base rocks? I also have macro algae and could light my sump to make a fuge, not sure if I need to add a slot to separate the rock area from the fuge.
Does this square acrylic piece have any significance in my dilemma?
Got it all off CL so I don't have a guide...
