Old filter using again

I just cleaned out my old emperor 400b and want to know the proper way to clean it. I used scalding got water and a rag to wipe everything down. No soap or any other cleaning product just hot water is this good enough??

You can put a little bleach in the water. Just give it a good rinse afterwards.

I would try soaking it in vinegar to remove mineral buildup especially around the impeller. Of course, rinse well afterwards.
If using bleach be sure to overdose with declorinator!
