Has anyone painted the back of an acrylic aquarium? Can it be done and what type of paint would I use?

I have heard instead of painting it, using a window tint to black it out. no streaks, different coloration, an can be removed easily. It would work well I think.

You can use acrylic paint from the craft section on W**-Mart. That is what I use on all my glass tanks and it should work at least as well on acrylic.

Careful on acrylic, some paints (oil based & spray can) will compromise the tanks integrity.

Krylon Fusion spray paint. It'll be permanent though.
