Opinions?? UV sterilizer in saltwater

This is one of my first posts and I am finding that after keeping fish for over 40 years I am still learning alot!! I am in the process of building a 20 long with a 10 gal. DIY sump and was wondering if anyone had ever used a UV sterilizer in a salt situation? I know they work out pretty good in freshwater but don't know about salt. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hiya, welcome to the forum!

You will find a wide range of opinions on this subject. Some swear by them and some say they are useless. I;m of the opinion that they have their place now and again but for the majority of times it's not needed.

But thats just one viewpoint. Youre sure to get some testimonials from others.
