outer orbit hqi hanging instructions - Aquarium Advice

i brought this light from a local seller, and like an idiot i didnt measure my aquarium because its 15" across but my aquarium is only 13". it comes with hanging brackets but i cant figure out how to set it up, does anyone have a site with directions?. heres the light i have i have the 48" one

I have the same hood and its sweet.

As far as hanging I have the hardware here and it looks like you just need to either mount to a existing box in your ceiling or more likely just figure out where it need to be and see where your studs are.

The flat thin brackets mount to the ceiling and the domes with the cables screw on to those.

Probably need to screw a piece of wood between the studs to mount if they don't line up right. Like a 1" by 4".
