I've seen people use the water sensor alarms that run off of 9 volt batteries, but is there a plug in version with a relay that would sound AND shut the pump off?
overflood alarm with remote shut off.

Yea I don't have a monitoring system and don't really see a need for one just for one thing. When I get a much bigger tank ill probably get one. Can't find anything on the net that would do what I'm looking for, guess its time to pull out the solder gun and see if I can make something.
