i have a question about a tank i just purchessed and now having second thought on how to plum water to and from my sump. i have purchessed just a plain acrylic 30g aquarium with no holes for bulk heads. i dont mind trying to drill holes, thats a possibility if needed. i am trying to find different ways to get water to and from my new aquarium. keep in mind this Acrylic tank has a weird top on it so hob style overflows will not work, and if they do i have no clue how to go about getting one to work.

my original idea was to drill a 1 inch bulkhead into the back and install a 1 inch strainer into the FPT side of the Bulkhead. i was going to do the same for the return lines which are 1/2-inch bulkheads (qty of 2)

i am really questioning if this approach is a good idea.

please help with any ideas

thanks:p
