Overflow

I had an idea for an overflow without drilling my tank, and without one of those unreliable overflows. My idea was this:
Use an external pump to pump water from my DT to the sump then another from the sump to the DT. This is a 55gal so im going to go with 250-300 for drain and around 500 for return. Im assuming the drain pump will be at or more than the rated and the return less than rated b/c of head.

You're just asking for disaster. If you don't get the two pumps perfectly tuned to each other's flow, one of the two tanks is going to overflow.........

If you can drill wood, you can drill glass.
Gravity has yet to fail us.
