painting trim....

can the plastic trim on a tank be painted?

Take the trim off and hit it with a couple coats of Krylon Fusion.

I would not take off the trim. I would tape things real good and then paint the rim.

thats great news!! any specific type of paint i should use? i am picking up a 75 gallon tank which has brown trim, which i want black...

Krylon Fusion. It's a spray paint intended for plastic.
