Penn-Plax Cascade Canister help

I set up a Penn-Plax Cascade Canister1200 it is working but then it just shoots out a spray of water as if it has been cloged. i have tried different things but it still does the same thing. it looks like there is snow in my tank. anyone have any idea?

eww. Where does it shoot water out of? I have a 700 and it works like a champ. Wish it had more trays though...

from the spray bar. you can hear the motor make some noise then it sprays out the bar as if was throwing some substance in there. the water looks like ther is mist in there then it clears up and later it does the same thing.

there is air in it... shake it gently and tilt it slightly so that the air will be forced through the pump in to the tank... once you do this, you shouldnt have a problem. my canisters do this every time i clean them for a few minutes until they purge out the air

i just did that. does it matter which way i tilt it. because it is still doing the same thing.
