physical filter on sump?

Do any of you guys run a poly filter or something like it on your sumps? I would like something to filter out the larger chucks of matter.

Problem is, i don't know where to put this on my sump system. It needs to be something i can clean out easily. Any ideas?

Here's a pic of my sump for reference:
