Power filters--- To use or not to use?

Ok here is the situation. Right now i have an aquaclear 20. I soon (next 2 weeks) plan on having a 10g sump/fuge up and running. When that is running should i get rid if the aquaclear and put filter media in the sump and if so what type of media? TIA.

I use a piece of regular filter media (The blue kind from Petco) in my sump. Its held in place with a couple pieces of rubble. Thats about all you need for mechanical filtration..Just remember to change it when it gets nasty 8O !

Peace.
