Powerhead question needs answer soon please

Hey I just picked up my 2nd powerhead today. Aqua clear 270gph. My question is, I know it comes with suction cups but can I fully submerge the powerhead or no? I read the manual twice haha and still couldn't find out an answer... You would think it's a common question
