Prime and Purigen

Is it safe to use these products together. Was doing some research and Purigen states not to use with products that has slime coat. Prime says it promotes slime coat. Not clear so thought I would ask to see if anyone has tried them.

I'd go with whatever seachem says. Did you try searching in the FAQ and the seachem forum?

Yes they are safe to use together. Promoting a slime coat is different then providing an artificial one, which is what products like StressCoat does.


What happens is the stuff that provides a temporary slime coating for the fish also coats the Purigen and renders it ineffective, at least that is my educated guess.

I agree with this advice. Safe to use in conjunction.
