I am trying to start a FOWLAR tank. I have a 55g drilled for an overflow system. I have limited space. There is no space behind the tank, the cabnit has a internal width of 11 inches and a door of 16"x20". I saw a proclear system that was rated for a 75g tank and came with their skimmer built into the sump. Is this a good idea/product? ANy other suggestions?
Thanks

I’ve read good reviews on the Proclear units but I don’t use one myself.

A lot of people can get a 20 gal long fish tank into the stand but not everyone. They typically run around $60. You could plumb together a couple of smaller Rubbermaid containers together also.

The Marineland Tidepool 1 will also fit in a 55 gal stand.

Also there are plenty of sites that show you how to DIY :D

I use one under my 72gal reef and love it. I do recommend ditching the bioballs that come with it and filling up the middle compartment with LR rubble instead. the skimmer is a plus.
