Protein skimmer

I'm new to saltwater and I just bought a instant ocean protein skimmer and put it on my 55 gallon FOWLR what is it suppose to look like if running correctly is it suppose to look like a whirlpool in the main tube

Well they make marine salt and the in take tube looks like there are tiny bubbles but the mane tube is solid water and a whirlpool

Yes that is what it is supposed to look like it will take it a few days to start skimming though

do you have the seaclone 150? if so that may never get tuned right i ditched mine because it never worked correctly

No I don't I got it tuned but the directions say it could take anywhere from 3 day to 3 weeks to start working
