Protein skimmer

On protein skimmers they have a adjustable air line tube. I keep mine half between completely open n closed. Is the best place for it?

It usually depends on the individual skimmer. I have to keep mine all the way open to get bubbles to form.

Adjustment need to be made in a tank by tank basis. It can fluctuate greatly by how heavily you are stocked, water parameters, etc.....even what you feed. I have my skimmer on a timer to shut off for 3 hours daily during feeding time. Zooplankton, Marine snow, rotifers etc can increase production on the skimmer.
