Protein Skimmer Help

I've had a protein skimmer in my 14 gal bio cube for almost a year now. I have relaxed the wood block and have noticed that the white foam doesn't come up into the holding container. Does this mean its broken? :-/

You may need to raise the skimmer or lower it into the water to get the foam to come up higher. With mine, the deeper the skimmer is the higher the foam comes up.

If you can find the instruction manual online - it should let you know the ideal operation depth.

I have a SWC Cone 160 and it says a depth of 6-10 inches. I keep mine at about 9.

thanks chenzo9999. The thing is, I've had it in the same spot for almost a year and it worked just fine. I'm going to mess with it today and see what's up.

Ebradley keep us posted. I would like to know what you find out to keep in the "fix it" section of my brain.
