Protein skimmer issues

I have a reef octopus 150 classic edition and whenever I feed my tank my air just quits in my skimmer I don't know how anything gets to it anyways I have enough filtration in front of it where big chunks of food can't get in it I'm so lost I this problem never seen it before. Any other time it skims really well. Any one else ever have this issue

My skimmer will stop producing bubbles and will run flat from time to time when I feed oily foods.

Try rinsing your food off. Oily foods, or even off of your hands, can inhibit a skimmer from working properly.

Thank you I was checking everything water levels seeing if anything was in my air tube. Ill was the food off with a couple of rinses from the tank water. Never would of guessed that.
