I am doing some research on protein skimmers to purchase for my 55G tank. I looked at the JEBO 180 that is supposedly good for tanks up to 180Gallons. I for some reason have my doubts as to weather this device can truly handle the needs of even a 55G tank. I am also comparing another generic skimmer for $109. Just curious if i can save about $60 and go with the JEBO.

Most folks here rave about the Octopus line. Based on a proven skimmer design it costs much less than comparable units.
