Protein skimmer problem

I have an instant ocean seaclone 100 hang on skimmer and it is putting a lot of air bubbles in my tank how do I fix this problem

If you just started using this skimmer than be aware that all skimmers need a break in period ,.. Most all skimmers will produce a zillion micro bubbles that'll last a day or so until the skimmer breaks itself in,.then they'll all go away

But should i run it with the air cap open or shut until break in period
