Quarantine Tanks - What's Your Opinion?

I read that recently -- he seems to be saying that a badly maintained quarantine tank is bad? Pretty much? Was there more to it than that?

Oh - and that healthy fish wont succumb to itch etc so as long as you keep your water quality good, you shouldn't have to worry?
 
Yea I have a QT tank and I read that article a while back too and some of the stuff the article mentioned is fairly comon sense of course not have a decor andor not haveing a ln established tank will stress ur fish might as well mention the waters wet too lol

One other thing is that it all matters what type of fish u get if they are wild caught like adolfo corys I would qt but if they are panda corys that breed in captivity ud have a better shot at not getting deases from them...
 
I believe in QT/hospital tanks.
I keep a spare/grow out tank running w plants that I can QT new comers in.

Thats exactly what I do...take my trimming from other tanks and plant them in it...
