question about this light??

Wondering if this would be good for a 40gal long, lightly planted tank.

Odyssea T5 Aquarium Lighting

Looking to replace conventional hood style as mine is old, Jerry rigged ( apologizes to Jerry ) and basically a POS.

Suggestions on cost effective alternatives welcome.

I have been using the 24" model of that light on my 29 gallon and I love it. I think the company had some problems with their lights a while ago, but I think they are good now. Have had no problems in 6 months.

I've got this one, it has the digital timer and moonlights. It's not that powerful but hard to beat the price. 48" T5 HO Aquarium Lighting Freshwater Plant 162W Timer | eBay
