Awesome thanks, hope it works well for the both of us!! Only thing that I'm kinda thinking is, that there won't be much static pressure on the water going to the sump. Mabey it's nothing to be worried about. Guess we'll find out.

I tested my overflow this last weekend and got 300 gph thru it. My skimmer is rated for up to 325 so I'm real close. I decided to use 1/4" cuts 1/2" deep and it worked better than 1/8" every 1/8". It didn't flow more gph it just seemed to skim better. Overall I'm pretty happy. Definitely was cheaper and easier than making one out of acrylic.Click image for larger version

Yes, it has a plug in the middle of the overflow so if I have a restriction I will know what side it's on. It flows about 300 gph. My tank is viewable from both sides so I had to do something different.

If you could a few more detailed pictures would be great..

looking to set-up a FOWLR and researching the best way to do it.. I plan and making a DIY Sump assuming I can drill my tank
