questions about magnum 330

I was talking with my father-in-law about the plans for my fish tank, and it just so happened he had a magnum 330 canister filter. He gave me it, but had no instructions for it. All I can see is a recipe for disaster and extra big hoses to siphon my tank out when I lose power. Anyone have a link for instructons or know enough about it to get me started with it?

I wasn't able to find information on the 330 canister, but I did find the manual for the 220/350. I suspect that there wouldn't be much difference.
