Quiet Filters opinions...

I have 3 HOB filters currently running, the Aqueon 30 in my sons bedroom is actually pretty quiet, My AquaClear 110 is so quiet I have to look at the return to see if it is running. My Aqueon 55/75 however is very loud (note the motor is not loud, the sound of falling water is however. Not a big deal as it is in the basement until this winter when we sleep down there on weekends (probably dream of waterfalls and wet myself in bed)

I would get another ac. They are the best filter Ive ever used.

All this good talk about AC's and Im going to have to set up one of the AC70's I have laying around that I got on craigslist!!

I have two HOB's on my 46g - a Penguin 200b - absolutely silent and I love it to death, and an Emperor 280 - obnoxiously noisy despite a new impeller, manifold and pickup tube assembly straight from Marineland. It sounds like its percolating coffee, and the tank is in my bedroom 10' from my bed.. well, you can see why it is irritating!
