Reef capable LED Lighting

Are those lights by Marineland any good for a novice just starting out? I'm trying to win a set but if I don't win are they worth the money? I'm looking to start off with a pretty small tank- 15 gallon.
If anyone is wondering Instant Ocean is giving away 2 sets once they reach 800 likes on Facebook. All you need to do is like them to be entered in to win. Just figure I'd share.

Hi, welcome to the forum!

As far as growing coral they are considered inadequate unfortunately. :-( At least in my opinion and some others as well.

There are a lot better choices out there but they are pricey. A good place to start is with a T5 fixture such as these

T5-HO Light

Hope that helps a bit.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.
